I, like many other people, have a hard time thinking of something I enjoy more to get my day going than a hot cup of coffee.  Each morning, I fill up my thermos as my job’s coffee spot. It seems like everything in America is fast or convenient. Fast food, quickie marts, microwave meals, instant coffee, instant tea, pre-chopped vegetables, and the list goes on and on. Many people call religious books, God books, teachings Jesus a wash. I personally believe that there is a higher power and somehow we must find it. We must embrace it. God books can be any group or type of book pertaining to God and his many facets. To some God is energy. To some, God is the almighty father. Whatever God book you have been raised with, I am sure that you have your own idea of God. Religious books can be a great way to open your mind to alternate ways of thinking and believing. Most will agree that God is all around us. God books tell us this over and over. Most religious books will guide you down the path less traveled and offer information about God and other teachings Jesus. Teachings Jesus will give you the stand point of Jesus Christ. Many teachings Jesus are based on the New Testament of the Bible, another God book. Teachings Jesus tell us the same things that other religions believe and go by: the golden rule. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. In the teachings Jesus he tells us to think of others before we think of ourselves. To always be available to lend a hand, or an ear, to someone in need. Most religious books say about the same thing. This is the rule that would make the world truly go around in harmony. I hope that one day we will be able to live in peace.
