Grind Your Own Bean Coffee

It seems like everything in America is fast or convenient. Fast food, quickie marts, microwave meals, instant coffee, instant tea, pre-chopped vegetables, and the list goes on and on. Whatever happened to fresh everything? Fresh produce, not frozen or (gasp) canned? What happened to going to the butcher instead of buying pre packaged, pre seasoned meats from the freezer section? And what is up with pre cooked bacon? Well, I am trying to convert myself back to the days when people bought bean coffee and espresso coffee, when you would go to market for fruits and veggies, the butcher for meat, and make your own bread. When cups coffee were so fresh, because you bought bean coffee and ground them in your home, then brewed it with a percolator or French press, not an auto drip coffee maker housing bleached out filters and an alarm clock/timer thing. Buying bean coffee tastes better because you ground it in house. Another benefit of bean coffee is that you get more of the anti oxidants that espresso coffee just naturally has. Grounding your own bean coffee also ensures that the rich oils that bean coffee possesses will be retained. Espresso coffee is my favorite bean coffee to buy. With espresso coffee, you can grind the bean coffee to make small cups coffee, or add more water to make a pot or more of coffee. It is great if you are having guests over, you can have more cups coffee for everyone!
